About me
- Where I liveThe street I live on has lots of trees and there is a variety of building styles, which is pleasant. From where I am I can walk out to the countryside without passing through a lot of housing. On the negative side, I know very few people in the area.
- Where are you originally from?I was brought up in the Forest of Dean and spent most of my spare time as a child amongst trees.
- Do you want to stay there?For the last sixteen years I have spent almost all my holidays in France. I know a lot of people over there, amongst them my best friends. If I could find a way of making a good living there I would certainly go and live there.
- What is your occupation?For the last 22 years I've worked as a civil servant. If it wasn't for the pension I would lose I would gladly leave. It was once an interesting and challenging job but in recent years my role has been deskilled and outsourced, leaving me almost redundant.
- What have you done so far?I've done a variety of things in the past for example I've been a stage manager, a carpenter and a van driver. None earned me a lot of money though there was some job satisfaction in all of them.
- What are your future plans?I'm certainly not satisfied with my life, though as yet I haven't settled on any particular direction I would like to go in.
